While my book makes it easy to bird Costa Rica on your own, many people prefer to have an experienced, knowledgeable guide lead them through the country, and help them find many of the challenging species. For years I have been guiding birders through this beautiful land, and I love to share the magnificent birdlife, landscapes and general wildlife with travelers.

Having written A Bird-Finding Guide to Costa Rica puts me in a unique position as a tour leader. The very nature of the book required me to consider every facet of birding tourism in Costa Rica. I have birded extensively throughout the entire country, discovering the best birding sites, hotels and restaurants. I know where all the rare species can be found, and I understand how to construct an exciting and comfortable itinerary. I love to bring clients off the beaten paths that most birding tours take, and explore some of Costa Rica's less known destinations.

I would love to work with you to build an itinerary that suits your needs. Whether you are looking for an introduction to neotropical birding, or are well versed, and looking to add some rarities and endemics to your list, I can create an ideal trip for you. Prices will vary depending on the itinerary, but rates start as low as $1,000 per person for a week-long trip (for a group of 4 people).
